ABOUT AMALIA SAVVIDI
MEET DR. AMALIA SAVVIDI
I was born and raised in Athens, Greece, but I call Crete my home. I lived on the island for twelve years and fell in love with the people and the lifestyle.
I currently live and work in London, UK, where I practice as a gynecologist in a transgender-affirming clinical setting. At the same time, I run pop-up clinics in Athens and Crete, maintaining a strong professional connection with Greece.
My long-term vision is to expand access to inclusive, evidence-based gynecological care throughout Greece. I firmly believe in equality, universal human rights, and the principle that access to healthcare should never depend on geography, identity, or background.
EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
I am a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology with comprehensive training in preventive care, reproductive health, and the management of complex gynecological conditions. My clinical experience includes routine gynecological examinations, cervical screening, contraception counselling, menstrual disorders, menopause care, and fertility-related support.
I have developed particular expertise in gender-affirming healthcare, including hormonal therapy monitoring, sexual health, and individualized care for transgender and gender-diverse patients.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
I obtained my medical degree from the University of Crete in 2016 and completed my specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2025. During my internship, I initiated a clinical research project titled “Queer Vaginal Flora,” focusing on diversity in vaginal microbiota and deepening my commitment to inclusive healthcare.
Since then, I have moved to London, UK, where I work as a gynecologist at a transgender-affirming clinic, Anne Healthcare, continuing my dedication to providing respectful, evidence-based, and equitable care to all patients.

I believe healthcare is a fundamental human right. Every person deserves access to respectful, evidence-based, and compassionate medical care — regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, background, or personal circumstances.
My approach is grounded in equality, scientific integrity, and trust. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where patients feel heard, informed, and empowered to make decisions about their own bodies.
Medicine, to me, is not only about diagnosis and treatment — it is about advocacy, dignity, and ensuring that healthcare is accessible and inclusive for all.
